Medicine Tree Clinic - New Resource Efficient Construction Medicine Tree Clinic, St.Ignatius, Montana. 13,000 ft2. Ground source heat pumps for cooling and heating. Local block manufacturer. Water collection from roof and parking areas, to develop and maintain a constructed wetland on site. Xeriscape landscaping to use native grass and flowers to revegetate this site. Fly-ash concrete elements, and metal roof with 70% recycled newspapers for all ceiling tiles, and nontoxic paints inside. Durable no-maintenance exterior. Complete remodeling, conserving the "embodied energy" in the existing materials. Salvage of 85% of the material for re-milling as furniture. Located in old downtown Missoula.
